Demo Files

DEMO.zip (71 KB)

The first two simple demo files are attached, created with Cinema 4D R14.

Mesh Source Sphere.c4d -> just hit render. You can tweak the parameters to play around.

TP Source Sphere.c4d -> hit play until some particles are emitted in the scene, then hit render.

KrakatoaC4D_Layout.zip (8.42 KB)

This is the Layout from the latest screenshots, having the console/log opened by default in the lower right corner.
You need to enable the logging in the Krakatoa Render Settings tab, and choose log to console with log level set to progress or stats.

If there is interest, I can share some scene involving Turbulence FD and the X-Particles plugins as well, you would need to have these though. Demo versions are not supported.

thanks!

thanks!

Ill make some sample scenes as I get more into it at well.

thinkboxsoftware.com/krak-fi … ainy-look/

This is something I’ve been trying to reproduce using the cinema 4d bridge to help get everyone off to the races.

Here is a setup using a Turbulence fd emitter.

d.pr/f/FYeD

This is still very grainy as I haven’t quite figured out the right density/expo combinations to give it the true krakatoa beuty look. If anyone else figures out how to achieve that look let me know!

TFD_Density_Testing_0002.rar (54.3 KB)

This is an early test of mine, had at hand here, settings are quite fine, just simulate and render.

this is an EXCELLENT render example. thank you!

Thanks Casey. You are very welcome;) I will cook up some more optimized versions soon.

Great sample scenes! Thanks for sharing them.

Please find attached the updated TP Source Sphere Repopulation file for BETA2!

TP Source Sphere Repopulation.zip (462 KB)

Repoplation takes 22 seconds on my q6600 for roughly 16 million particles.
The Fill Radius value is pretty sensitive and got updated in BETA2 to resemble the units better. Lowering will take longer and use more memory as the repopulation grid needs to be calculated in a finer resolution.

A quick and simple X-Particles Scene with coloring by age activated. Please note that the recent X-Particles Shader in v2.5 isnt completely translated yet.

X-Particles.zip (73.1 KB)

Note that the rendering time varies between the Editor Window and the Picture Viewer when jumping to later frames as some precalculation/preparing appears to slow down the X-Particles currently. This is not related to the KC4D Bridge.

Finally a simple DOF Scene using a PRT Volume to get into the feeling value-wise

DOF.zip (2.44 MB)

Merry Christmas and have a soothing end of 2013
