I just installed Deadline on two machines. One Mac and one PC. Everything seems to work good but I cannot launch the Monitor on the Mac (see attachement). The Slave is launchable an connects to the Repository fine. The Monitor is launchable on the PC.
Error Message: “The Monitor was unable to connect to the specivied Repository (/Applications/Thinkbox/DeadlineRepository8). Access to the path “/Users/Shared/Thinkbox/Deadline8/cache/blablabla” is denied.”
This problem occurs either the repository is installed on the PC or on the Mac, currently its installed on the Mac.
Mac: OSX 10.11.4
PC: Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Deadline 8.0 (Free License)
We had some mistakes made with the cache permissions in Deadline 8.0.0.69. According to the development logs, we should have that fixed in 8.0.1.0. Can you try upgrading to see if we’ve got it handled?
You may need to open the permissions yourself to that folder, or delete it entirely to get things back to normal.
I installed the After Effects Submission Script and get the following error when I start it in AE.
The SubmitAEToDeadline.jsx script could not be found in the Deadline Repository (Error: Access to the path “/Users/Shared/Thinkbox/Deadline8/cache/L3RoUDS9O9dm44FBIzCJbhiUQ/submission/AfterEffects/Main” is denied. (System.UnauthorizedAccessException)/SubmitAEToDeadline.jsx). Please make sure that the Deadline Client has been installed on this machine, that the Deadline Client bin folder is set in the DEADLINE_PATH environment variable, and that the Deadline Client has been configured to point to a valid Repository.
The Script is right, the file SubmitAEToDeadline.jsx does not exist in the specified folder.
