DL6 on open-e DSS v7 NAS ?

Hello,

my data server will be a linux-based Open-e DSS v7 system :
will it be possible to use Deadline 6.1 on it ?
To install repository on it ?

Hi,
I’ve not heard of anyone using this system before. However, I looked at the specs of this NAS/SAN system and it provides compatibility for Win, OSX, Linux via both SMB/CIFS and NFS v2/v3, so there should be no reason for any problems here.

Ok, I’ll check it with the vendor and…hope it works !

Hosting the repository folder will be fine but the Open-E OS is proprietary and you won’t be able to install the license server or Mongodb on the system.

DL 6.1 is now installed for 3 weeks and it works just fine !
