Easy way to update Slave Settings?

Is there a way to distribute slave settings?

For instance to change the license server path across the entire farm?

Or migrate a farm to a new repository… It could be run through the Deadline Launcher service perhaps since that doesn’t require a license…?

“Deadline Configuration” within the program handles all this for you.

Thanks that does exactly what I want.

Unfortunately only 1 of our render nodes shows up when I refresh. All other slaves are listed as “no response” under launcher version etc. But “Online” under Machine Ping.

Any idea why they would show up in the monitor but not in the deadline network configuration?

probably do to your unique network setup…seperate domains? seperate vlans? different IP range?
try going to file, add additional machines and copy and paste the name of the machines into the window. (1 machine name per line)
see if they then appear…

Well it’s finding them. They show up. They just don’t connect to the launcher to change the settings. Nor does it get the IP address or Mac adress etc. Which is strange because it can ping it… “Machine Ping Status” = Online.

The “ping” just shows if the machine is online or not. All the other information is gathered by communicating with the Launcher that is running on the remote machine.
