Hi, some users reported that some jobs do not always send the email report at the end of rendering.
I am also experiencing this with a script I wrote that uses the deadline command line to send email.
I know that this problem can be on our side, the mail server capturing those report as spam, i need to dig into this problem, but first I wanted to ask on the forum to know if other users where experiencing the same bahavior?
Thanks

Hi, some users reported that
some jobs do not always send
the email report at the end of
rendering.
Deadline picks different slaves (at random it appears) to send the completion report. It’s possible that some of your slaves don’t have access to the mail server (firewall?), and some do have access.
I am also experiencing this
with a script I wrote that
uses the deadline command line
to send email.
Right mouse click on the job in Deadline, click “Modify Machine Limit”, and then White list 1 slave at a time. Requeue the job, and repeat to see if this problem exists on all slaves.
I know that this problem can
be on our side, the mail
server capturing those report
as spam, i need to dig into
I created a new e-mail account called “Deadline” on our e-mail server, and was able to config this account’s settings specially for Deadline, then in Deadline Monitor I set the “sender account” to that e-mail address.
FYI: The slave that renders the last task of a job sends the completion email report.
Cheers,
- Ryan
thanks for the details, i’ll check yeah computer to see wich one is not sending mails.
