It would be quite great if Deadline could do some simple linear extrapolation and give us estimated job finishing times. People are always asking ‘when is it gonna be rendered’

We actually have this in plain view in the monitor, in the upper right side of the Tasks panel as seen below.
Alright, I do see it now Do you think it would be a good idea for it to be a column in the jobs’ properties? sorting by that would be quite handy!

So I did hear back and the explanation I got was that the ETA is dynamically calculated when the job is pulled up in the monitor, and doing that for every job in a real time setting would put a huge strain on the system, and cause refresh times to increase. The performance hit and memory usage would just be too much.
