So we’ve got a weird thing going on with our stereo workflow. Normally we are rendering out multi-layered 16-bit EXRs. We’ve got a stereo shot so we set up a test scene with pass groups to represent each eye. But when we send the renders through only the left eye shows up even though we get two image sequences named left and right.
But by accident one of my artists used the standard OpenEXR 16-bit format and everything worked as it should.
So my question is, what is it about the layered EXRs that causes this error? Is there a work around since we will still need the layered EXRs.

Sorry for the bump, but I’m in kind of a crunch. I’m hoping someone has some knowledge with this issue.

It’s looking like this may be a Modo issue. I originally thought this was a Deadline issue, but it seems other people using Modo are hiving similar problems. But any info would be helpful so feel free to respond. otherwise I’ll be looking on the Modo forums for the answer to this issue.
