Frost?

I assume you will be including direct Stoke support in Frost?

Again not real necessary since you can write directly to PRT Loader, nice touch. Which leads me to ask will this write to PRT and create a PRT Loader without Krakatoa installed? (I didn’t see this in the help which is why I ask)

All that is needed is a recompile that recognizes the Stoke class as a valid object.
I checked with Darcy and he tested a recompile that worked.
We are looking into what has to be done to get that into your hands…

Yes, Stoke can write PRTs without Krakatoa installed.
So if you have only Stoke and Frost, you have a perfectly good particle rendering solution.
But we believe that Krakatoa gives Stoke an extra “kick”.

That being said, I have to make sure the “+” button is disabled when Krakatoa is not installed, since you cannot make a PRT Loader without it.
Right now it would cause an error…

Well since you guys integrated a solid workaround, direct Frost support definitely isn’t as critical.

Ah cool, just was curious as as long as I use max I will have Krakatoa installed so if someone asked I wanted to be able to give an accurate answer.

Stoke is now supported in Frost 1.3.5.

Thanks Paul!
