Fume FX while running Deadline 6.2 as a service

So I’ve built a testnode to start using Deadline as a service on our Farm.
Running 3Ds Max 2015 Sp1 and Fume Fx 3.5.

Fume is able to render, however Sims fail while as a Service. Sims are successful when running the slave on the same machine without the service.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks…

This is a SUPER common problem. Take a look at this guy:

I think we were working on a programmatic workaround, but I think there’s a service pack to handle this. If not, it’ll be in the next one.

WOW, so I had seen that and undocked the scene explorer on the node and the machine I submit from but had the layer editor open as a float. It seems that Vray\Fume\afterburn\krakatoa\frost all will render with the floating window, but for a Fume Simulation it has to be completely closed. Thanks…
