We are using the latest version of deadline and Blackmagic Fusion 7 rendernode. When a job is sent to deadline and rendering happens the deadline slaves creates dos boxes with the rendernode command. The problem is that everytime a render task gets created the dos boxes appear in forground and the windows gets focus. How can we avoid this an the rendering is silent?
Thanks for any help!
Hello,
One way to avoid this is to run the launcher as service, which would prevent those windows, but there are some issues and downsides to that option. We can try to find a way to make it not show a window, though that will take some dev time to investigate if and how to do it.
Hi Dwight,
thanks for the reply, what downsides do I have to expect?
Thanks
Tim
Hello,
We have documented potential concerns of running the launcher as a service at docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produc … -or-daemon if you want to give it a read. For windows specifically, there can be some networking concerns.
