Houdini - 9 frames only

I’m rendering ifd mantra files but a problem appeared where only the first 9 frames get rendered, after that the slaves are on rendering status but stay there forever.

What causes this?

Hi there,

I’m not sure what would cause this. How are your tasks set up? For example, is it one frame per task, or a sequence of frames per task (ie: 1-10, 11-20, etc)?

Also, a log would be helpful. To get a log in this case, do the following:

  1. Submit a job that reproduces this problem.
  2. When a slave gets stuck, go to that slave and in the Slave GUI, select Help -> Explore Log Folder.
  3. Find the most recent slave log (which would be from the current session where the slave is stuck) and post it.

Never mind about the frames per task. I just realized that the Mantra plugin doesn’t offer that option. :slight_smile:

The log would still be useful though.
