Installing RCS - Provided user name does not exist

Hey,

I’m trying to install Dedline for the first time. Repository install went just fine. Client install stops with an error, Provided user name does not exist.

How can I find the Username to be used here? All instructions simply click “next” and it installs…

“Users” is not a valid user. You can either create a separate service account, or run it as your personal account. Not sure if it needs admin permissions for anything.

The User/Group option for the RCS in the installer is for:

  • User/Group running the RCS: This is the user (or user group) that will be expected to run the Connection Server process. This value will dictate the initial permissions on files needed by the Connection Server, and the user listed on the HTTP.SYS URL Reservation (Windows only).
