Hi

When I Submit Maya file to render
should I type Job Name every single time ?
If I shoudn’t it remains as “Untitled”

Is there any way to get a job name form maya file name ?

Hi there,

Are you submitting the Maya job from the Deadline Monitor or from within Maya using the integrated submission script? I’m pretty sure the integrated script sets the job name to the scene file name, so if that’s what you’re using, it sounds like a bug.

However, if you’re using the Monitor submission, you’re right that it isn’t currently setup to set the job name to the scene file name. We can add this to the wish list.

Thanks for confirming. We can definitely add this to the wish list.

Out of curiosity, any reason for not using the integrated submission script for Maya? It has a lot of extra features, and the benefit of setting the job name automatically.
