Krakatoa 1.5 x (pflow with colour + No cache) = white?

Hi,

Since I updated to Krakatoa 1.5.0.37202 and 1.5.1.38002, everytime when I render pflow particles, it always comes out with White Colour even when I set the colour of Pflow.

When I create a simple scene with 2 pflow(Red&Green) and a spot light, i got same result.(you can see the attached image below…)

Is this became normal since 1.5 ? Or am i missing something to get colour directly from pflow…LOL
The reason of this is, i’d like not to create any cache at all due to the quite a size of particles (say…24million?) which took quite time to cache and diskspace…

i use 3dsMax9(64bit) & the OS is WindowsXP(64bit)

Cheers

Looks like a bug to us, we will investigate why it happens.

I suspect that Krakatoa 1.5.x is looking for the Vertex Color channel and since there is none by default, both PFlow and Mesh Vertices are assumed white instead of getting the wireframe color.

In the mean time, you can drop a Material operator with a Standard Material, or a UVW Map Operator set to Vertex Color and specify the color value there. I know these are workarounds that are much more complicated than just setting the Display Operator’s color, but we will try to answer your question as soon as we know if there was a technical reason or whether it is an actual bug.

Oh… totally forgot about Material Operator lol
i just did what you mentioned, adding a MaterialOperator inside pflow, then
finally the render result came out with Colour

you saved my life today, and thanks for the reply, Bobo!!
