Krakatoa Error - VoxelFlow.dll

Krakatoa for 3ds Max

I am trying to render a simple fume simulation through pflow with krakatoa and I have run into an error I haven’t seen before.

“Failed to load fn ?MakeOutputName@@YA_NPEAD0H@Z from VoxelFlow.dll because: The specified procedure could not be found.” I have used this method previously without running into this error so I am not sure what might be causing it.

Using Win 7 / 64bit / Max 2011 64b

Can you tell me which version of FumeFx you are using? I suspect Krakatoa is confused about which one you have.

Krakatoa1.5.1.38002 and the latest FumeFX 2.1b.

Krakatoa 1.5.x supports only FumeFX 1.x which explains the error message.
You have to get Krakatoa 1.6.1 to use FumeFX 2.1b.
(Earlier versions of Krakatoa 1.6.0 only supported FumeFX 2.0)

In general, when in doubt, download the latest build from
thinkboxsoftware.com/krakato … ta-builds/

You will need an updated license for 1.6.x, unless you are running the evaluation version which of course needs no license.

Hey Bobo! Life is pretty good here! I am hoping it is the same with you out west. :slight_smile:

Yeah for now I will skip this feature and use the build I currently have installed. Production wraps next week so I will look then to get a new license generated and install the latest version.
