is it possible to change the local tmp folder when rendering with Maxwell? Right now the local MXI is saved at a pat like this:
C:\Users\rendernode\AppData\Local\Thinkbox\Deadline7\slave\render23\jobsData\564b3af6101fc8276cdff649\maxwellOutput_tempe5ic00\MXI\15088_CTN_34_Doorhandle_002_s0002.mxi
I usually check the MXIs during render for errors so easyer access to this folder would be great. Right now I have to open the logfile and look for the path.

I think I found one way to shorten the path. Set the “Local Data Path” in “Auto Configuration” to something short like c:\tmp. The resulting path is still quite long but manageable.
Yes, I think that’s the only way to change the path at all.
Just to complete this topic:
the local path only applies if you check “Enable Local Rendering” during submission. Otherwise the temporary MXI files are stored in the Output path which could stress the network bandwidth with large MXI files.
