MacPro OSX slaves not picking up new jobs

Deadline 6.1
Maya 2015 w VRay 3.1
OSX Yosemite

Small problem. We have a 3 new MacPros which get put onto the renderfarm when not being used. They work fine (about 5-10% slower than an equivalent Windows box).
Only problem is that Deadline will not pick up a new job if they have being idle for a while.
If I use remote control to stop then start the Deadline Slave it picks up the job immediately and all is well.

Any ideas?

The wonders of App Nap!

Check this out, should help:

The global disable should work in all versions of OS X after 10.9, so try that first. Specifically:

defaults write NSGlobalDomain NSAppSleepDisabled -bool YES

Thanks for that. We are using an App called Caffeine which allows us to turn AppNap and screen savers etc off on the fly.

Have a major rendering happening at that moment and I notice that the Macs are picking up jobs ok just very slowly. They can take from 30 sec to 10 minutes to start a job according to Deadline Monitor.

I’ll try turning off App Nap via the CLI as well.

Thanks again
