I just started using maintenance jobs (Thanks!). I have 8 servers total. When I submit, I put 6 of them in the whitelist and submit. The job creates 8 tasks. I would assume it would submit # of tasks = machine # capable of processing the job. Is this intended use? If I had used groups or pools would it limit the # of tasks?
I think currently the number of tasks will always equal the full number of slaves you have.
I’ve reported an issue on that a couple weeks ago - so that whitelists would determine the task count - i believe its on the to-do list.

Laszlo is right, according to our documentation at docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produc … nance-jobs the maintenance job is automatically made with one task per machine. Hopefully we can implement a feature where the task size is limited to the whitelist, but currently that is not the case.
Is this in 7.1 or on the map for it?
