We have this problem. We’re trying to render a lot with houdini now.
Sometimes Mantra.exe hangs (see in the attachment).
We have the feeling that we need to close mantra.exe to cause further rendering. Without closing it, it doesn’t render further.
Is there something automatically we can do to kill this?
I think you can disable these popups on Windows, which should allow mantra.exe to exit on its own. I believe the settings for this can be found in Control Panel -> Troubleshooting -> Change Settings.
1.Head to Start
2.Select Control Panel
3.Select System and Security
4.Select Action Center
5.Select Change Action Center settings
6.Select Problem reporting settings
7.Select Change report settings for all users
8.Select Never check for solutions(not recommended)
9.Select the Ok button to apply the settings
I let it run for a night, and again, I got the message… Windows, I love it .
I’ll search further.
1.Head to Start
2.Select Control Panel
3.Select System and Security
4.Select Action Center
5.Select Change Action Center settings
5.1 uncheck “windows troubleshooting”
6.Select Problem reporting settings
7.Select Change report settings for all users
8.Select Never check for solutions(not recommended)
9.Select the Ok button to apply the settings
9.1 select programs to exclude from reporting: there enter mantra.exe (for me this is the step that will fix it, all the rest seems unnecessary, but still, I don’t take any chance)
