Heya,
we would love a feature that does the following when rendering in C4D or basically in every software:
Worker starts a Task (say Frames 1-100)
Worker scans output directory for existing files
- Worker “validates” path anyway, so might as well add that operation at this point.
Worker recognises frames 1-35 as already existing frames.
Worker starts rendering at Frame 36 and does not rerender the first 35 frames
Basically a “skip rendered frames”
Useful feature for when a) a worker crashes mid render b) a worker gets manually stopped mid render c) could be used as a “missing frames” rerender function to rerender dropped frames without having to manually adjust the frame range after “finding missing frames”.
Ideally an optional feature, should people use workflows that overwrite the final render file to make it easier in comp (whyever they would do so but you know what I mean )
