We are changing the legacy layer option, but it renders anything after the first 10% of a file and also drops 1 or 5 occasionally.
2016-06-15 16:41:56: 0: STDOUT: Error: This file contains legacy render layers and Maya is currently in Render Setup mode. This combination is unsupported. You can switch to Legacy Render Layers mode from the Preferred Render Setup system drop-down list in the Rendering section of the Preferences window.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Could you confirm which version of Deadline you are running? From what I can tell 8.0.3 was when we added support for handling both render layer systems (8.0.4 was just released). If you’re on 8.0.3 or later, would you mind posting the logs?
Some background info: this error is caused by maya 2016.5 on a per slave basis by loading one render layer system (ie. Render Setup), since it’s saved as a preference in maya, and the file that it’s trying to render with has the opposite system (ie. Legacy Render Layers).
I think I may still be on 8.03, needed to update, will definitely try. Thanks!!
