We are using Deadline 7 with Maya 2015 and find that every time we select a Jigsaw region and submit it, the rendered image is offset, sometimes quite considerably, which can be very frustrating. If we want to render a region at the bottom of the camera view and select it, with the bottom edge going as low as possible, the rendered image can be too high even though we couldn’t select any lower.
I’ve had a few issues there myself. Let me get some info for you.
It’s a bit of a challenge to pull the right info from Maya’s UI and it’s mostly driven from a screenshot we get from the viewport. Do the dimensions of the viewport image versus the output line up alright?
Update:
I completely missed that you’re on version 7. There have been pretty thorough fixes since those days. How feasible would it be for you folks to upgrade to 8.0 at the moment?
I just heard back from the developer here who worked on this. He doesn’t think the bug was caused by the renderer chosen, but instead by the resolution, fill, and overscan settings (which I personally didn’t realize existed in Maya).
