Mayabatch crash with Redshift

We use deadline version 7, maya 2016 and redshift 2.0.66, I use batch mode and maya build-in plugin to submit render jobs, most of the time everything goes smoothly, but, sometimes the machine reported Mayabatch error, I remote control that machine, no Mayabatch crash panel show on screen and from slave imfo it keep running the job, so from my side, if I can not solve the exact problem, I want to know is there a way that if a machine has mayabatch crash detection, that machine will restart slave.

I don’t remember any issues in 7.x where the render process wouldn’t allow Deadline to move onto the next task when one of the processes completed We did have some issues with reading the output text from Maya. Does this lock up only happen when MayaBatch has exited, or do the renders ever get stuck mid-way through?

Hello,

To get a better idea why redshift is crashing, because it can be a bit temperamental sometimes, make sure to have the verbosity set to debug in the render options.

So Render Settings Dialog.
System Tab > Log > Verbosity: Debug.

This will then spit out a ton of info that will help you debug why your redshift render doesnt want to play nicely.

Hope this helps
Cheers
