Hello Deadliners, is there a one page document that catalogs all the differences between the versions and the changes in multiple files? Having independent pages that are only attributable to a particular process is frustrating. I have a lot of tabs open and having to jump between them to find that one word or letter has changed in a script that necessitates looking at multiple pages is time consuming and could be summed up in a single page with sections for particular processes. For example, there are variables, names etc that are used in Deadline 5 scripts that are no longer used in Deadline 6, but finding the changes can be cumbersome and time consuming. I know how to use the documentation and have migrated scripts but it would have been a lot quicker if there was a list of changes and an index to go to the page for that process instead of having a myriad of tabs open looking for a particular change. Having to go and find a script that ships with Deadline that is close to what I want to do is also a chore. While I appreciate that it CAN be a way to learn about the differences, it seems a bit of a cop out to expect that a standard script will always provide an answer, though it probably will, but for those new to this scripting and migration, it can be a little daunting.
I have also noticed there are some anomalies in the documentation which led to some fun backtracking.
Blah blah blah moan moan moan. Get coffee and biscuits. Resume scripting.
