Sent a job last night to render on AWS, but checking it now and it seems to have some missing render passes.
Slave log attached, but it looks like everything should have transferred properly, but I seem to have loads of randomly named files in the folder that haven’t been renamed as usual (eg, ba1087a3b5ca43d19569a0819731fab0.37AC5F9A)
Any ideas? First time this has happened with a cloud render, they either render all or none!
Hmm. Those randomly named files are made by the AWS libraries used to download from S3. When a transfer fails in recent versions of Deadline (10.0.21 and up at least) its supposed to go back into the transfer queue to retry later. The random file names do linger around at the moment.
One thing we have an open issue for is to override the random filename and use the original with a suffix.
For this, are there enough random file names to match the missing render passes? Is this the first render you’ve done with a more recent version? Anything else you can think of that may have changed with this job?
