Modo 801 Multi-File PNG layers no longer supported

Hi All

In Modo 801 they removed the save as Multi-file png option, meaning the option no longer works in Deadline, and now the only way to achieve the same this is to set the output paths in Modo, and leave the ouput path blank in the Deadline Modo submission dialogue box. This works, but is annoying as it means changing the output path requires opening the Modo scene, setting each render output path and re-saving it.

Does anyone know a workaround for this, or if it’s possible to create one?

Sorry if this is solved in Deadline 7, I have only tested with Modo in 6 so far.

I am not seeing any mention of this in the current DL 7 release notes, I’ll check with the devs to see if this is on their radar.

thanks, it’s not an immediate problem as rendering with 701, but it would be nice to have a solution sometime soon.

Hello Dave,

I talked with the devs and they advised that as modo no longer supports that, it is unlikely that we will be providing the functionality in Deadline that they removed.

Thanks for the update, I think there has to be an easy way round this but it’s something I’ll have a think about and test as we move our workflow towards 801.
