modo - render passes

Hi I’m sending a job from modo to deadline and i have a pass group containing x3 render passes.

In the submission dialouge i can select the pass group from a drop down, however deadline only sends 1 job, not the x3 render passes that pass group contains.

Is this a limitation of deadline or am i doing something wrong?

Deadline 7 btw.

Hello,

I talked to the devs about this topic just now and was advised that we were not able to find any documentation on how to tell modo to render a specific pass, only a specific pass group. We do have plans to add in a feature in the future to submit each pass group as a separate job, though, so that might have some options for you.

Ah ok, thanks for letting me know.

In that case Is it possible to use the output name to “name” the job when submitted?

Like in the max dialogue i use $outputfilename for the job name.

I do not believe this is a current feature of the modo submitter, as it sounds like something that would be unique to the SMTD, but I will pass this on up to the devs to get their thoughts as a feature request.
