Monitor on Repository server doesn't work

Monitor opens however most features in the “Tools” menu don’t work. One of two things will happen, an error message will appear (see attached) or nothing will happen. The “Manage User Groups” seems to be the only function that works. Help plz.

I believe this is a known issue and we have added the following entry into our upgrading docs page here:

Due to a change in the Slave Scheduling settings in the database, you should avoid editing the Slave Scheduling settings from a machine running version 7.1 until all machines have upgraded to 7.1. Otherwise, you will get the following error when the Launcher tries to auto-upgrade. If you get this error when the Launcher tries to auto-upgrade, the workaround is to delete all Slave Scheduling groups in the Slave Scheduling settings, and then recreate them once all machines have upgraded to 7.1.

An error occurred while deserializing the SlaveSchedulingGroups property of class Deadline.Configuration.DeadlineNetworkSettings: Element 'AllSlaves' does not match any field or property of class Deadline.Slaves.SlaveSchedulingGroup. (System.IO.FileFormatException)

Can you delete your slave scheduling groups and re-create? Does this resolve the issue for you?

Everything seems to be working except the license server. We just updated it but the slaves say that the license server “Does not support this version of this feature.” All computers are running Deadline 7.2.0.18

Is your Flexlm license server running at least v11.12 and your license file has been updated to support Deadline v7.2 licenses?

It’s either that, or you don’t yet have a license for 7.2. The sales folks can help you out with that if you e-mail sales@thinkboxsoftware.com.
