quick question: If I submit 2 different jobs each assigned to a unique machine shouldn’t both jobs run simultaneously? The 2nd job is still queued even though the machine it is assigned to ( via machine blacklisting ) isn’t active! Help!
Yes, both jobs should run simultaneously. Are you using white lists or black lists to assign the jobs to their respective machines? Whitelists say “these machines only”, whereas blacklists say “any machine but these”. Maybe double check how you have each job’s machine list configured.
Other things to look for:
- The idle job is in a pool or group that isn’t assigned to its machine.
- The idle job is using a limit group that has already reached it’s maximum.
