I have the next scenario, hundreds of mxi images that will need to be resumed later with higher SL.
I would like to send this task in deadline but the panel has not the “eneable local rendering” as Maya tasks, so the entire farm colapse the network trying to update each SL.
I would like send this task to be resumed as local render in each slave but not been updated the result until the end of the resume process.
Is this possble?
This currently isn’t possible, but in theory the Maxwell plugin could be modified to support this. The MXI could be copied locally before rendering begins, and then copied to the network when it finishes. One issue though is that if an error occurs during rendering, or the task is requeued manually, or the slave is shutdown mid-render, the MXI file won’t get copied back to the network. So there is the potential to lose rendering time, which isn’t the case if the network MXI file is being written to directly.
