Newbie question about location of deadlinecommand

Hi,

I did what seemed to be a successful install of Deadline 10.4 on Rocky 9.5, but deadlinecommand doesn’t show up. Reading around, sounds like I need to add the path to it to my .bashrc. However, everything online indicates I should be able to find a /bin/ at /opt/Thinkbox/Deadline10/, but instead I have only /opt/Thinkbox/DeadlineDatabase10/, and the only thing in there is /mongo/. Seems odd, can I get a clue please?

you need to install the client, this should have the deadlinecommand at that location.

The other components are the database and repository

Ah, interesting, thank you. I hadn’t thought I would have to install the client on the database server machine.

i find this odd too, it includes Pulse, RCS, webserver and other bits. It’s probably a legacy thing

You don’t have to install the client on the repo. Essentially RCS and the webserver are “client” components that can run anywhere.
