Our set up of Deadline doesn’t seem to be sending Netsend messages on job completion or errors.
Emails go out successfully.
I’ve checked to make sure Remote Administration is checked and that the users have Netsend set to True.
Allow Network Messages to be Sent is checked on in the Repo Options.
I’ve tried doing a manual Send Network Message to various users and that works.
There is no Windows firewall active.
Interesting… Are all the machines running the Launcher, and the Users are configured to be associated with the right Machines? I’m guessing you might have already checked this from what you described, but it can’t hurt to ask.
Also, is the Deadline Launcher running as a Service on the artist machines? If so, that might be a problem for the Netsend stuff.
That’s really all I can think of that could be causing this, since you’ve already mentioned you’ve checked the other gotchas I usually ask about…
