Nuke output color space index (25) out of range and error reading pixel

Hello everyone,

We are having some Nuke issues when rendering on Deadline. We keep getting these errors:

Error: FailRenderException : >>> >>> >>> >>> >>> [15:06.06] ERROR: Read1: Error reading pixel data from image file “…”. Invalid argument.
at Deadline.Plugins.DeadlinePlugin.FailRender(String message) (Python.Runtime.PythonException)

Error: FailRenderException : >>> [14:44.01] ERROR: Read9: Output color space index (25) out of range.
at Deadline.Plugins.DeadlinePlugin.FailRender(String message) (Python.Runtime.PythonException)

We can’t seem to locate the issue. The output looks alright and when redering locally outside of Deadline, there is no Error.

Is there someone who might know what the problem is?

We are using Nuke 11.2v5 and Deadline v10.1.23.6 and Deadline v10.3.0.10

It doesn’t seems to be a Deadline version problem. We’ve been using Deadline 11.1.23.6 for years now and just recently updated some of our computers to Deadline v10.3.0.10 beacuse we wanted to render After Effects on some computers.

How are you rendering outside of Deadline? Please follow here: Troubleshooting — Deadline 10.3.2.1 documentation to isolate the issue from Deadline.

Share the log from cmd, if you see the same errors on the render node outside of Deadline it means that you have isolated the issue on the render node.

Just to double check what you wrote – you’re using both 10.1.23.6 and 10.3.0.10 at the same time? Are you submitting a job using a10.1.23.6 client to a 10.3.0.10 worker/render node?

Also, version 10.3 moved away from python2, so it could be a version issue…
