We install nuke on a linux machine. The machine isn’t able to respond to deadline remote control (restart slave, ect.), and seem only to refresh itself with pulse. If i do a refresh all right in deadline, nothing gets updated.
Do you have any input of where i should be investigating first ?

Hi Fred,
Do you have the launcher running on the linux machine? If you do, can you try pinging the linux machine from the machine you’re trying to control it from? Deadline uses DNS to resolve the host name to an IP, so if there is a DNS issue, that could explain the problem too.
Do you mean the slave state doesn’t get refreshed in the slave list? Maybe the slave isn’t able to properly update it’s state in the repository due to permissions. Is the linux slave printing out any error messages indicating it is having permission issues?
