Yes, still using Deadline 2.7…
I’ve updated our Deadline 2.7 plugin to support Nuke v6 but having some issues. When and how does the {plugin_name}.deadline file get created within the plugin folder and when does it update the icon?
Can you give me a valid path to access/download the Deadline 2.7 user manual please?
Thanks,
Ken Littleton

The {plugin_name}.deadline file isn’t created, you need to copy the Script.deadline file from the Script plugin folder and rename it with the appropriate plugin name. The icon file for the plugin must be created manually or copied from somewhere else.
We don’t have a copy of the complete Deadline 2.7 documentation (it’s technically no longer an officially supported version), but we still have the 2.7 plugin documentation online that you can refer to:

What are the exact issues that you are running into? We’ll see if we can help.
Cheers,
Thank you for the speedy response Ryan. I guess the main issue for Sway is the need to upgrade to DLv4 - still working on that.
I cloned our Nuke plugin to create separate Nuke5 and Nuke6 plugins. The Nuke6 plugin was failing saying it couldn’t find the Nuke6.deadline file and the icon wouldn’t refresh. However, everything seems to be working properly this morning.
Thanks,
Ken
As a none PF employee and simply a customer of PF deadline software, I would highly recommend getting the funding for the upgrade! Upgrading from v2.7 to v4.0 (soon v4.1) would be a quantum leap in functionality and performance! I wouldn’t hesitate for a second!
