We’re going to test AWS Thinkbox Marketplace UBL with AWS Portal, while one of the rendering scenarios is leveraging Octane 4, but we cannot find UBL in the list, so is it included within C4D UBL? Or currently AWS Thinkbox Marketplace does not provide Octane license?
Currently, the AWS Thinkbox Marketplace does not offer Usage Based Licensing for any version of Octane.
We cannot provide any guidance whether or when Octane UBL might become available in the Marketplace.
C4D is supported by AWS Portal only in conjunction with Arnold and V-Ray, as these are the pre-defined Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) we offer. Both C4D and Arnold, or C4D and V-Ray UBL credits would need to be purchased, since the C4D license is responsible only for the host application, but not for the 3rd party renderer running in it. Redshift is technically possible, but is not offered out of the box via a C4D+Redshift AMI yet, however a custom AMI can be created by the user if required.
