OpenEXR format supported by pre-rendered z-depth map?

I rendered my geometry object with a normalized Z-depth channel into an OpenEXR file, which contains additional channels for other composite passes.
It seems that if I use this OpenEXR in Krakatoa UI > Matte Objects > Load Initial Depth Map File Sequence, the Z channel is not recognized and no matte effect.
However, if I render an OpenEXr image with only the Z channel, the Normalized Z Depth option works fine.

Is this the correct behaviour? Does the Initial Depth Map feature support multi-channel OpenEXR files?
If it does, are there limitation to watch out for when rendering multi-channel OpenEXR files for this feature?

Thanks in advance.

Krakatoa 1.5.1 + 3ds Max 2010

From inspection of the relevant code, it appears Krakatoa will only support OpenEXR images with a single float channel for the “Initial Depth Map Sequence” feature.

I have logged this as a bug, and it will be resolved in a future version of Krakatoa. In the mean time, you will not be able to use multi-channel OpenEXR files.
