Opt-In Shotgun creates Warning/Error

If you set the state for ShotguN Event Plugin to “Opt-In” you get an error on the Integration tab for AE:
"The Shotgun Event Plugin is currently disabled.

The Shotgun Event Plugin must be enabled in order for Shotgun integration to work properly."

This error message is a bit ambiguous and pointless. It suggests that some action needs to be taken when in reality the user just has to agree… and then the state that it warns about is no longer true. It’s a bit of a Schroedinger’s cat of user states. The act of viewing the warning changes the state to either an error or a healthy state.

Yup, that seems fairly silly to me. We’ll have that looked into. Is this only in AE, or have you seen it in other submitters too?

Haven’t tried any other submitters. I assume the Shotgun Event config is identical code though through DeadlineCommand.exe

Hey Gavin,

I think this fix is in 8.0.7.3, which came out this week. Try that version and let me know?

To let you know what we changed, Shotgun, Ftrack etc should not be set to opt in since you have to “opt-in” before setting them to be used.
