Is there a way to have jobs in certain pools to have higher priority than others? Basically I have a 3 pools one for xmesh one for krakatoa and one for the other jobs. I want the krakatoa and xmesh jobs to always have priority as they are only on 4 nodes. I have been through the help buts its not clear to me.
I am using deadline 8.

Yes! But you would control this at the slave end of the business and not the jobs. Just make sure each job is in the correct pool.
On a per slave basis if you so wish, you can configure the pools to have different “orders”. The order is important as it will control the order in which a Slave decides what job to pick up next to render. If it helps, one of the developers wrote a blog post on pools and groups a little while ago:
Thanks that helps. I did see the demote and promote buttons but I wasn’t clear how that was working. I think the assigned pools list needs to be vertical to make more sense.
