Problem with Quicktime script

Hi
Im trying to make a quicktime jobb from Monitor using the “Submit quicktime job to deadline” submission script. When in the submit panel i click the “Create Settings button” but nothing happens. Im running Deadline (5.0.0.44528)(demo) with everything running on one Mac Book Pro with Quicktime Pro 7.6.6 and OS 10.6.8

Hi Bonsak,

That’s strange. Which codec do you have selected? Also, maybe check to see if the settings window is appearing behind the submission window.

Cheers,

  • Ryan

Its the same with all the codec choises. Theres no window behind the submit panel either.

Thanks for checking. Can you open a terminal and run this:

deadlinequicktimegenerator -ExportSettings test.xml "QuickTime Move"

This is supposed to bring up the settings window. If it doesn’t, can you copy and paste the stdout from the terminal into your reply?

Thanks!

Hm. It returns “command not found”
Is it something i havnt sett up correctly?

Ah, this may have been a known issue that affected some Mac users. We’ve tweaked the script for the upcoming 5.1 release, and I’ve attached the modified script here. To install, go to \your\repository\scripts\Submission\QuicktimeSubmission and make a backup of QuicktimeSubmission.py. Then unzip the attached file to the same folder. Run the script from the Monitor again and let us know if it helps.

Thanks!

That results in this funky error message

Sorry, try this one. The previous script had a function that was added in 5.1.
QuicktimeSubmission.zip (3.6 KB)

Yeah! Works like a charm. Thanks.
