I have submitted a python script to a specific pool in my farm but it only seems to run the script on one randomly picked machine in the pool. Am I missing something here? If I submit a python job to a specific pool, should it not try and run that script on every machine in the pool? I am running deadline 5.2. thanks.
I should also add that I am submitting the script from the deadline monitor and not another application.
No, it’s like any other Deadline job. Since only one task is created for the python job, it will only run on one machine, just like if you were submitting an animation job with a single frame.
It’s been on our todo list for a long time to create a job type that executes once on every machine. Hopefully it’s something we can look at during the Deadline 6.x cycle.
