Hi!
When submitting 3dsmax job suddenly all pahs moved from “\deadline_repository” to “C:\PF\Thinkbox\Deadline\bin”. (and of course, nothing works after it)
I found that cmd ‘deadlinecommandbg.exe -outputfiles … -gethomedirectory’ returns only “C:\PF\Thinkbox\Deadline\bin” now - whatever i do: reinstall deadline, restart windows…
The registry seems to be clean, don’t know where this path could be forcely written…
Any ideas?

Are you running this from a command prompt, or within max? If you’re running it from a command prompt, is max still running when you’re running this command? If it is, I’m guessing that Max has locked that file, and that’s why it can’t get overwritten (and why it always contains the same information).
Are you by chance submitting from 3dsmax 2012? If so, have you applied any hotfixes or service packs to it? The initial max 2012 release had a maxscript bug that broke our submitter because it locked files. Our submitter only works if at least hotfix 1 has been installed.
Cheers,
- Ryan
Yes,
after installing SP2 for max2012 the bug dissapeared!
thank you very much, Ryan!
