I’m getting this error on linux:

deadlinecommand remotecontrol R110 stopslave
got reply: Sent “” command. Result: “Connection refused”
Sent remote command StopSlave to R110

Any idea what the problem is?

Check your firewall settings on your remote client.

There’s no firewall. The deadlineslave does work fine. Is there something additional that needs to be set up for this to work aside from the slave service?

Have you enabled “allow remote administration” in the repository global settings yet?

No, that wasn’t enabled. It is now but the remotecontrol commands still gives the same error.

Is the Deadline Launcher running on the remote machine? The launcher receives the remote commands and passes them on to the slave application. If the launcher isn’t running, it could explain why you would get this error.
