Render elements

Hi Ryan,

when i submit a render element, he will create a folder with underscores (_), Is there any way that it does not create this folder and send the render element to a folder that I choose

I´m using max2008 and vray 1.5 sp1

Hi Andre,



I’m not 100% sure what your question is. It sounds like you want to

change the output path for the render elements after the is submitted,

which is currently unsupported (only the main render image path can be

changed). If I’ve misunderstood your question, please let me know.

Hi Ryan,



I change the output path before submit the render element, but he will

not send de render to the folder that I choose ,he will create a new

folder with underscores () and infan (-)



For exemple:

in vray I choose the following configuration:



Main render output path: f:\frames\testelement01

Render elements output path: f:\frames\test_element_01\elements



When I submit the job, he will send the main render to the correct

folder, but the render element he will create a new folder like

f:\test-element-_01\elements and he will send the render for that

folder and not for the folder that I choose in vray

Does this problem only occur when rendering render elements using

Deadline? What happens when you do a local render? When submitting the

job, under the Render tab, are the Update Render Elements’ Paths and

Permanent RE Path Changes options checked? Maybe try unchecking them to

see if that helps.

This problem only occur when I rendering render elements using Deadline, when I do a local render he work fine and sends me the elemets for the folder that I chose in vray.
Where I find this options “Render tab, are the Update Render Elements’ Paths and
Permanent RE Path Changes options checked?” ??
Vray or Deadline ??

The Render tab is in Deadline’s 3dsmax submission dialog.
