I am noticing that when I am rendering (plugin does not matter - After Effects, Maya, 3ds) that according to the render slave, renders are only single threaded. I never get that Render Thread 1 or greater is rendering. Is there a way to force jobs to multi-process? Is this a program specific thing? Or do I want to avoid this?
Thanks for any pointers…

That’s the Slave’s render thread that it is using to manage the current task. When that task starts up 3dsmax (for example), 3dsmax will use however many threads that it would normally use.
If the Slave is rendering a job with more than one concurrent task (a setting you can set in the job properties), then the Slave will have a thread for each task. This can be useful if the process you’re rendering with (ie: After Effects) is single threaded.
Cheers,
