rendering realflow foam

been trying to do so for quite a while, but i didnt succeed so far. no matter what, the amount of foam particles realflow generates is always too small. i even set it high enough for realflow to tell me particles may become unstable, but still not enough to get a decent rendering.
perhaps, and most likely, i dont know a good workflow for this task.
so please, share your thoughts!

also, what i found to be more efficient, is rendering the actual fluid particles with krakatoa color by vorticity, make the vortice areas white, and the rest black, so it will look like foam. is it possible to render the black areas as alpha, instead of just black? would be easier for me to composite later.

thanks in advance!

If its black and white couldn’t you just use it as a luma matte?

You also could render two passes:

1.The first pass you will use as an alpha channel, turn on Force additive mode
2.Switch the Final Pass Filtering to Nearest if using the Particle Rendering mode, or doesn’t matter if in Voxel Mode
3.If in Voxel Mode adjust the Voxel size and Filter to match as close to your final pass size
4.Render this out, your RGB pass will be your alpha as Force Additive doesn’t write one

Since your black particles are well black they won’t render only the non-black particles will show up

Render your second pass as you normally would.
