i posted at orbaz as well, but just wondering how can i partition or render particles from just a certain event?
i cant connect pfsource to a 2nd event it has to be connected to the first birth event,
would it be a solution for krakatoa to have an option to not render particles in events that are set to display:none ?
Krakatoa provides you with 3 filters for Particle Flow - PF Geometry, PF BBox and PF Phantom. These correspond to the 3 out of 4 modes of the PFlow Render operator. This way, you can set the global Render Operator to one type and add local Render Operators in various events to set these to different states. For example, in a PFlow with 3 Events where you want to render/save just one of them, you could set the Global Render Operator in the PF Source to Phantom, drop a local Render Operator in the one event you want to render and set it to Geometry, and then uncheck PF Phantom and check PF Geometry in the Krakatoa GUI. As result, the whole PFlow will be updated but only the particles in the one Geometry event will be saved or rendered and the rest will be ignored by Krakatoa.
The “None” type is a more special case. Particle Flow Events set to None will never be rendered but ALWAYS updated. This is to allow for proxy PFlows (say, for PFlow Box #3 setups) to update without actually rendering. Read the FAQ here for more info: thinkboxsoftware.com/krakato … the-s.html
