Repository on a NAS Mapped Drive - Setting Proper Permissions?

I’m setting up Deadline for “Free Mode” home use and have installed the repository on a mapped network drive which is a Synology Diskstation NAS shared folder. The installation instructions give very detailed guidance on how to set up permissions for the “deadlineuser” account in Win, OSX and Linux, but I’m a little unsure how to properly do this on a mapped NAS drive. Do I need to set up a user on my Diskstation instead? Any help is appreciated.

Hey Mitch,

If you trust your network (I trust the one inside my own house :D) you can keep the permissions open if you like. I do this myself. The instructions we provide are for those who feel the need to keep the Repository as restricted as possible.
