I’ve installed Deadline Clients as “Services” on Windows PCs but I’m not having luck getting them to work. This is what I did:
- On Active Directory I created a user account that has access to the server resources.
- I installed Deadline Worker on all artists PCs running Windows using the local administrator account.
- While installing I selected the “Install Deadline as a Service”.
- I entered the username with the domain “domain\username” and the password.
- When I log into these PCs using the account I have access to all the network locations I should.
- Whenever I submit a Nuke script to render the machines that have Deadline Worker installed as a service give me a “Python.Runtime.PythonException” error.
- The environment variables have been set up for all users.
Any ideas? This is the first time I’m installing deadline workers as services and I’m not sure where to start to troubleshoot this.
