Running DeadlineCommand.exe from the network share not working if Deadline is not installed on the PC

Hey guys,

I wanted to use the Toon Boom Harmony submission plugin to send a job to the render farm without having Deadline installed on the local PC. To do that, I would like to use the deadlineCommand.exe from the shared network drive to upload the job.
So instead of having this path to the Deadline bin:

C:\Program Files\Thinkbox\Deadline10\bin

I want to use that one (network_drive is a pc with deadline installed on it and shared Thinkbox folder):

\\network_drive\Thinkbox\Deadline10\bin

this network folder is accessible from the windows explorer, and when I browse to it, I can clearly see deadlineCommand.exe being there. But when I try to run the submission plugin (after changing the path to the deadilne bin inside), I get this error:

dl

If deadline is installed on the local PC, then the submission plugin works fine.

Any ideas what may be causing this?

did you set the deadline path, it defaults to
DEADLINE_PATH=C:\Program Files\Thinkbox\Deadline10\bin

I found a solution myself :smile:
To solve it, copy the ini files from the pc that has deadline installed on it from:
C:\ProgramData\Thinkbox\Deadline10
